Ready-Set-Go Achievement Program

Ready-Set-Go Achievement Program

The Ready-Set-Go Achievement Program is our competitive soap box derby team that participate and compete in the Gravity Games, Westside Sports League, and various local derby quailfiers and rally races to qualify for the All American Soap Derby Race.

The Ready-Set-Go Achievement Program educates and expose youth to the art of building a competitive racing team by applying the principles of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

The Field of Dreams Academy will develop and administer a comprehensive program that provides a balance between classroom learning and hands-on skill building. We will create a racing team that competes on the various youth circuits. Additionally, we will assist in the coordination and placement of educational internships for our program participants.

Spare Change Racing is honored to partnered with the Field of Dreams Academy. This organization clearly understands that the next generation of drivers, and team owners from our community will only be achieved if expose and give opportunities to our youth!, says professional driver and team owner, Allan Newton.”

Currently, Spare Change Change Racing competes in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL). The team has won several major racing competitions. Their ultimate goal is to race and compete in the National Hot Road Association (NHRA).

Our Racing to Make Our Dreams (RMOD) program uses the tools and values of Soap Box Derby® racing to introduce Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math (STEAM) to students in an enjoyable, and engaging way. Our Education Program is designed to provide 4th – 12th educators and students with project, and standards-based, inter-curricular learning opportunities. Through RMOD, each school will have an opportunity to assign a team of students who will assemble soap box derby car kits for their school; either as a Saturday school project, or after school settings and then race against other teams per their school level and division in hopes of being crowned RMOD Champion! The objective is to educate, expose, and endow these students to the sport of auto racing; and how to apply the principles of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
